Pride in the little girl's eyes
Tears are streaming down her face
Of happiness
He looks around
at the hazy image he thinks is
home
With no remembrance of the little girl
His Daughter
He jumps when he hears a harmless airplane
screams when candles are lit
Of thoughts of darkness and pain
dinner is silent
The little girl does not notice it at all
She chatters in her own world
But deep down she realizes
Her father did not remember her
it will never be the same
6 years is a long time
